Donated: Breathing Monitors
Five breathing monitors with a total value of ten thousand Czech crowns were handed over by the Křižovatka Foundation to representatives of the Pediatric Department of Vsetín Hospital. The devices were purchased thanks to a financial donation provided by our company.
The monitors are used in the neonatal unit for infants and toddlers.
“During a child’s first year of life, irregular breathing or even breathing arrest may occur. A breathing monitor alerts medical staff or parents (as the monitors are also loaned out for home use) with an audible and visual signal, allowing immediate first aid to be provided,” explained Mgr. Štěpánka Pokorníková, Director of the Křižovatka Foundation.
“Over the course of the year, we will need to replace some of our monitors, so your donation has come at just the right time,” said Bc. Eva Kovářová, Head Nurse of the Pediatric Department at Vsetín Hospital, during the handover.
